Frame.io limits and gotchas

  • Annual billing saves 13%, but the pricing page does not show the annual price.
  • Prices are per member per month and exclude tax.
  • More than 15 members means Enterprise, which has custom pricing.
  • Free plan accounts over the 2-project limit see a "Project limit exceeded" banner and may be locked after a grace period.
  • Watermarking: Pro and Team include 1 static template; Enterprise includes unlimited templates.

When Frame.io is the better choice

Kreatli is our product, so here is when Frame.io is the better pick:

  • You edit in Premiere Pro or After Effects and want review inside the app. Frame.io has a V4 panel for Premiere Pro 25.6 and later.
  • You need to export comments: Frame.io exports CSV or plain text for Final Cut Pro, Media Composer, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, and prints comments to PDF.
  • You want a free plan for 2 people across 2 projects. Kreatli’s free Exploration mode covers 1 project and 2 files.
  • Your team has 11 to 15 people and you want a listed price. Frame.io Team covers up to 15 members; Kreatli above 10 members is Enterprise.

Kreatli also has no comment export, no editing-software panels, no website proofing and no frame-by-frame stepping. If those don't matter, compare it with Kreatli's video review software on a real client round.
